Policy Analysis and Evaluation
JBLA is experienced in helping agencies and institutions analyze and identify key policy priorities and outline a strategy to achieve desired goals. These analyses are intended to help you look ahead to emerging issues and consider changes in policy direction.
We partner with you to conduct policy analyses and major education studies by:
- Identifying the issues and defining the evaluation criteria
- Analyzing background information for support on major initiatives
- Considering all alternatives and recommending the best policy for the organization
- Examining budgetary, legislative and program decisions
- Formulating policies and proposals
- Explaining and communicating policies and their development
We recognize that information timeliness is critical to policy analysis, so many of our projects involve a quick turn-around for gathering and analyzing information.
We have conducted policy analyses as part of our work on the following studies:
- District of Columbia Community College Feasibility Study, Greater Washington Research at Brookings and DC Appleseed
- Study of Undocumented Students, North Carolina Community College System
- Study of Change in Teacher Content Knowledge, U.S. Department of Education
- Evaluation of Academic Competitiveness Grants and National SMART Grants, U.S. Department of Education
