Compensation Studies
JBLA staff members conduct compensation studies for postsecondary institutions and related membership associations that target such employee constituencies as faculty, support staff, and other professional staff. Our compensation studies include analyses of salaries, benefits, student employment policies, pay structures, and compensation plans.
Past compensation studies have included analyses of the following issues:
- Identifying compensation disparities by gender and race/ethnicity
- Detecting those variables, such as employment, academic rank, and department, that affect compensation
- Recognizing economic and political factors affecting the specific job market
- Comparing relevant data with peer institutions and national data
- Profiling cases in which compensation is systemically inconsistent
Our compensation studies culminate in an analytical report to the client, detailing the findings and offering recommendations or suggestions to moving forward.
We have completed compensation studies for the following clients:
- Brown University
- University of Hawaii
- Indiana State University
